Originally an experiment by bassist Reza Askari, THE RESONATORS have developed a new, unique sound whose amalgamation of free jazz and rock elements quickly became the band’s trademark and has already thrilled audiences at festivals such as the Moers Festival 2021, the Hessian Jazz Prize 2021, and the Winterjazz Festival 2022. The influences of late 60s and early 70s psychedelic rock are a unique feature of the band, whose free group improvisations are of the highest standard.
