Not that the band knows very much about jazz, but Jolly & the Flytrap are no less flattered to be able to perform their own music in Willisau. Notabene: for the first time since the band exists. They have ventured out to Schötz or Ruswil over the past years but never as far as Willisau. The Engelberg-based band has been on the road for 36 years, i.e. for more than a third of a century, and, to put it boldly, it is simply “not about to die”, much to the band’s own astonishment and delight. These musicians are still singing, blowing their instruments and passionately making music with the occasional shout with joy when they dance to their own songs, framed by the lovely stage design and dressed in neat rock’n’roll jackets and ruffled shirts.
