After her debut album “For my Dead Folks”, Swiss flautist Linda Jozefowski is delighted to present her new project with excellent musicians at her side. “Focus Natural” is a kind of philosophy in which concentration, spontaneity, focus and creativity flow naturally. An invitation to dance! The album was recorded under special conditions at La Maison-Matrice in Crémines (in the Swiss Jura) and brings together modern jazz compositions and African-inspired grooves, with rhythmic experimentation as the band’s common thread. The composer draws inspiration from African rhythms, transforming them into more complex polyrhythms. Some of the compositions are also reminiscent of the Cool Jazz sound of the 1970s. For this project, the flautist has formed a quintet with pianist Gabriel Zufferey from Geneva, drummer Diego Pinera from Uruguay/Berlin, German double bass player Tabea Kind and Swiss saxophonist and bass clarinettist Domenic Landolf.
