Grammy award-winning multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Meshell Ndegeocellog makes her Blue Note debut with “The Omnichord Real Book”. This multifaceted, heavily jazz-infused album should begin a new chapter in her career. Following by a few years after the covers album “Ventriloquism” (2018), the new production consists of 100% new personal material, covering a broad spectrum of the artist’s musical roots.
“The Omnichord Real Book” was produced by Josh Johnson and features a wide range of guest artists, including Jason Moran, Ambrose Akinmusire, Joel Ross, Jeff Parker and Brandee Younger, Julius Rodriguez, Mark Guiliana, Cory Henry, Joan As Police Woman, Thandiswa and many others.
